Glideslope is an iPhone app that models how ADHD medication and caffeine rise, hold and fade across the day. Damian Worsdell, a sole trader in Western Australia, Australia (“we”), makes it. This policy covers the app and this website. Questions: privacy@glideslope.health.
The short version
- Your health information stays on your iPhone. Glideslope has no account, server, analytics, advertising or third-party code, so we never receive it and can’t see it.
- The app reads only what you allow in Apple Health, and iOS asks you type by type.
- This website uses no cookies and no analytics.
What the app reads from Apple Health
- Medications you choose, and their doses. You pick which medications to share. Glideslope reads their names and the doses marked as taken or skipped, to model your day.
- Caffeine saved by other apps, to draw your caffeine curve.
- Heart rate, resting heart rate, sleep and moods, only if you turn them on in Settings. These are read to show them to you, and Glideslope keeps no copy.
What the app saves to Apple Health
- Drinks you log, as dietary caffeine.
- A mood you add to a check-in, as a State of Mind.
If you delete that drink or mood in Glideslope, it’s removed from Apple Health too. Glideslope never adds, changes or deletes your medications or doses.
What the app keeps on your iPhone
Glideslope stores the doses it reads, how you matched each medication to Glideslope’s library, your drinks, your check-ins (answers, tags, notes and any mood) and your settings, in the app’s own storage on your iPhone. For widgets and the Live Activity, it also shares today’s modelled times and the shape of the curve with its widgets on your iPhone, with no medicine name or dose.
Backups. Glideslope doesn’t sync to iCloud. If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, iOS can include the app’s data in that backup, under your own account. We have no access to your backups.
Notifications are scheduled on your iPhone, with no server involved. Discreet notifications is on by default, so they name no medicine, dose or condition. If you turn it off, notifications about your curve show the medicine and dose on your Lock Screen.
How your health information is used
Only to show you your own day, inside the app. We don’t use it for advertising, marketing or data mining, we don’t sell it, and it isn’t sent to us or anyone else.
Your control
- Access. Change what Glideslope can read or save at any time in iOS, under Settings › Privacy & Security › Health.
- Export. Settings › Your data exports your records as JSON or CSV, to wherever you choose in Files. Nothing leaves your iPhone unless you send it.
- Erase. Settings › Your data › Erase all data deletes your records and settings in Glideslope, and deleting the app removes them too. What Glideslope saved to Apple Health stays there until you delete it in the Health app.
- App lock. You can ask for Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode when the app opens, which also hides it in the app switcher.
Apple
Apple runs the App Store and TestFlight under its own privacy policy. If you agree to share analytics with developers in iOS, Apple may give us crash reports and statistics about how the app is used, which don’t identify you and don’t include your health information.
If you test a beta through TestFlight, Apple also shows us when you installed the build, how often you use it, crash logs and any feedback or screenshots you send. If we invite you by email, it shows us your name and email address too; if you join through a public link, it doesn’t. Screenshots can include what’s on your screen, so check them before you send them.
